Dear Friend,
Â
Happy first day of March! This is a spectacular time to begin something new or brush up on a previously practiced skill. For instance, did you learn a different language in High School? Do you remember how to introduce yourself in that language?
Â
I wish I could hear your answer. If you don’t remember what you learned, please don’t stress. There are so many reasons that our memories come and go. As I’ve written before, I believe that practice just makes practicing more fun. And, perfection? Practice is our best companion along the journey to flawlessness. And then, if we don’t keep up the practice, what happens? (Please feel free to answer any and all questions that I pose, I’m asking because I believe that your answer is important, and that it will be uniquely yours).
Â
The beautiful thing is, a new skill or hobby that you start today can be Just for Fun. After all, a dog that chases a car rarely thinks about what she’ll do when she catches it - but what exhilarating fun, the journey! Â
Â
Impermanence. In nature, it happens all around whether you are looking out the window at your garden or you are sitting outside with your eyes closed to feel the temperature shift.

Â
Frank has been standing by the ocean an awful lot this past week, embroiled in his practice. And though he’s been a photographer for many decades, each moment is new light, new sensation, new special moments to capture and share. Â

Â
This beautiful photo plucked a scene that will never, ever repeat itself. Change is perceptible if we expect things to stay the same, otherwise, aren’t we just in the moment?

We enjoy hearing from you even if you just write for fun! And if you decide to take up a new hobby, we’d love to know, (and /or if you’d like to address any of the many ponders in this letter), Please Write to us!

Gently Be,
Leslie and Frank
