Dear Friend,
We haven’t posted a Tracks for a couple of weeks so we thought we’d better check in and let you know that we’ve been thinking of you. And I must apologize that this blog/letter only has one photo, a cute outtake that Frank took when portraiting his Otter pal. Frank hasn’t photographed very much in the past couple of weeks.
What have you been up to? It’s the middle of June, the time of year for big events like graduations and weddings (and summer colds - boo hiss). Or maybe it’s been a quiet month for you so far…? Have you been swimming, yet? Do you have a summer garden? Any travel plans?
While we’re stopped in a city, Frank has been helping neighbors with a few house projects and I have been watching paint dry. (I just completed a mural on our friends’ home). (Yes, of course, they know about it, I’m certain, right? I mean, I’m pretty sure they wanted me to, maybe… well, it’s just paint).
This is our 17th posting this year. Looking forward, I hope to finally have a “Nature Shares – writings and photos by Friends” edition of Tracks by the Post in the next few weeks and Frank is planning to take his camera out this week, so our 18th posting of 2026 might be really something!
I’ve been meaning to ask you, ‘In your opinion, what is the most important thing to have?’
It may seem like a random question. (Yes, it certainly is). In a world full of so much, I think that it’s interesting to simplify, narrow everything down to one most important thing. Do you feel that your answer would have been the same five years ago? How about 5 years from now?
I wonder what this guy would say?

It probably has to do with a snack or two.
We keep you in our daily Thanksgivings and are grateful that you are here to read Tracks by the Post. If you’d like, please write and let us know how you’re doing and, if you wish to share what you think is ‘the most important thing,’ we’d love to know.
Wishing you a bounty of goodnesses,
Gently Be,
Leslie and Frank
